D.B.L. is not the boy next door! His life reads more like that of a little royal prince.
Before embarking in a career in music, this young attractive and exotic
performer was already traveling and living around the world, attending
some of the most prestigious private schools and eating at the finest
restaurants. He trained in classical ballet and learned about ethnic and
world culture. As a child, he was already performing in commercials for
Pepsi, Cheerios and Footlocker, and soon became a successful child actor
landing leading roles in television and film.
In music, D.B.L. was mentored by a Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer
who comes from a legendary family in music for several years.
With a strong multicultural upbringing, not to mention his multiracial
ethnicity, D.B.L. brings an international experience to his music. He
takes from Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae, Rock, Middle Eastern, and African
music, to establish his own distinct musical style, one that he hopes
will transcend race, color, culture, and even musical genre. Yet,
D.B.L.’s music remains commercial.
